“Love you… love you too”

I have been reflecting on this topic lately, as I had a long conversation about why some people won’t say “ love you ” or “ love you too “. For a large majority of my offline friends (and a few of my online friends), saying “ love you lots “, or “ love you ” or “ miss you ” seems very easy to say and flows very freely. For others, it would seem as though it stumps them when I say that. I love my friends, no question about it. And I feel loved by them too. That’s not even a question. I am priv

Quantic y Su Combo Barbaro
Echoplex- Echo Park, CA Live Review/Interview- 08/15/09 The arpeggiated rhythms of Santiago de Cali, Colombia, playfully mingle beneath a crepuscular-lit moon. Amidst a colorful landscape, vibrant crowds dance to the lively beats of guaguancó, porro, and chirimia. This music represents an amalgamation of ethnicity’s that have blended into a distinct and beautiful culture thriving along the Colombian coast. For DJ/producer, Quantic, a.k.a Will Holland, venturing out to this region turned out to
Music Review: Torchwood Children of Earth Original Television Soundtrack, music by Ben Foster

As a spin-off from the immensely popular BBC series “Doctor Who”, “Torchwood” has taken on a life of its own. The five episode third season (or series I should say), subtitled “Children of Earth” continues the run of success this spin-off has had. Although music is not always recognized for its ability to stir emotion [...]
Love On Your Side (Thompson Twins)
I was working at Waves the other night along with my friend Minna and we were listening to music from the 80s era. I recognized this song but I didn’t remember who sang it. Thompson Twins (the creators of the always lovely song ‘Hold Me Now’, one of the most romantic songs I’ve heard) also sing “Love On Your Side” (which was one of the songs in their Best of Thompson Twins compilation, titled Love On Your Side too). If you know my musical tastes, you can understand why I love it so much. It’

Running Wild With J. Tillman
Photo Licensed Under Creative Commons The Echo-Echo Park, CA Live Music Review-08/20/09 *** Josh Tillman, drummer/vocalist of Fleet Foxes performed in front of a dimly-lit audience at The Echo. Known for housing indie rock and garage bands, the space provided an intimacy that complimented Tillman’s rustic charm. His casual demeanor left no room for speculation. He swaggered on stage dressed in a button down with ripped elbows at the sleeves, providing an earthy and nomadic appeal. In ful

Three – Love, Lies, Betrayal
EXPECTATIONS With Three – Love Lies Betrayal, Vikram Bhatt finds himself on familiar grounds. Adultery, murder, mystery, terror, fear – these are some of the elements that Vikram Bhatt has excelled in bringing on screen over the years and one expects the same mood to continue with this film as well which is presented by him and directed by debutant Vishal Pandya. One expects a slightly dark feel in the film’s music too which is composed by Chirantan Bhatt [Mission Istanbul, EMI] with lyrics by
